Right. BIJ and FY can be heard everywhere, but that particular version was totally unexpected. [bouncy]

There is a commercial about the football games in Brazil. The background song is Forever Young.
Wow! Now Mexico is listening to FY!!! Nunca te arrepientas de lo que hagas. Arrepiéntete de lo que no has hecho. [kitty] |

My neighbourhood.
I have a very annoying neighbour who plays almost all kinds of music very loudly. At first, he/she played almost the same songs all day long, but little by little he/she has been adding artists and genres. This week he/she has been rambling from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Romeo Santos to music in Spanish I have no idea who sings it... and right now he/she is playing Forever Young. Deaf neighbour playing Alphaville is an outrage. *grumpy smiley* |

March/April 1984 timeframe (while in the US Army): On a nighttime train ride from Karlsruhe to Hamburg Germany to visit family. Sitting in the Liquor Car getting hammered/drunk with German Army personnel, a medic pulls out a cassette Walkman and says "listen to this": It was an early demo of 'Sounds Like a Melody'. I was hooked and waited patiently for a few months for the official release of 'Forever Young' later that year.

Wow- that is very cool! I love hearing how Alphaville is involved in people's lives around the world and how listening to their music sort of invites them into experiences with us.

I was standing at the edge of the earth which was in Ushaka Mall at the time for me,
The stars which had held course thus far, now suddenly moved faster, Forever Young by JayZee - Alphaville among the tourists And I danced, danced and danced, walked out and danced some more. |
