Oh, nice surprise!
I love that remix, althought I had it already in a shorter version. In the description it reads 'Song written in November 1995 in Magescq, Les Landes, France', Marian once said that the flame of the gas stove -where the band were staying- inspired him the song, is it the 'tiny legend' you were refering to Toby? By the way I now get your pun for 're-fuel' :-) |

Don't like it at all. Sounds to my ears like the original song with random unpleasant noises added. Hey, nothing wrong with that, I don't expect falling in love with everything, so thank you again AV team!
I'm happy to have this long version wich I'll store next to the old 3:42 version (I wonder wich nice member of this forum provided it to me a long time ago...? ). |

A short version has already been released? Where was that?
I was referring to the thread „rarest rwcording“ where the remix once was mentioned - and folks came to the conclusion must be a fake |

Must be me... the file title is Alphaville - Flame (Zart Remix 1997) ; 03.42 yes, but the version seems to be shortened because there is a fade out. @Toby: was not officially released, it was at the time of the old website with the Klangwelt 'turntable' animation.

22 May 2005: "Flame - Zart Remix1 / 1997" ! (mouse over Marian's head + click spins CD)" So probably encoded in a .swf. As the 26 May people speak about the 'vote' wich had a dedicated image, maybe this file was online only a few days. https://web.archive.org/web/20071103.../news/vote.jpg @jetset: I knew it was you! And this was way before Klangwelt (22 feb. 2008)

Yep, from what I remember I had to decompile it from some exotic file format. I just know that the music would launch itself at some point on a certain page.

It's not my cup of tea at all. It sounds to much like a 90's rave tune, and IMHO, it doesn't hold a flame up to the original released song on Salvation.
