The name Marian is from his granddaddy and Gold is from Goldstein from the book 1984 if I remember right.

But has artistnames "Lloyd", "Mertens" and "Ricky Echolette" any meaning. Why did they take those names??

"Echolette" was borrowed from some instrument brand, wasn't it?
It would be interesting to make them talk now about how they chose their artistic names. :D
