Like some of you, it was tough deciding between 1984 and 1986.
The case for 1984: More than just Alphaville's debut, there were a lot of great acts that had excellent singles that year. It was also the year we discovered a lot of other bands and artists that never really got that much attention in my area. The case for 1986: Afternoons in Utopia, Van Halen's "5150," and a few other goodies. After further review, I'd say '84 outweighs '86. Hello, my friend... |

Voted 84, all though I love the early eighties. The late eighties (from 1987) weren't so great.
