My song
Hi! Here Lorenzo, I worked at the WHTC project as co-ordinator but mainly in the mastering process, done at my studio. Here I also recorded my friends Nuvolaneshua's "Big In Japan" (the vocoder vocals on the chorus are mine) and mixed AA Project "She Fades Away". Anyway... I see that nobody appreciated so much my version of Forever Young (7Luna)... I made 3 versions of the song, I also have done something more melodic and easy, almost identical to AV song... but who needs a copy? And, after hearing all the other songs that are melodic and dancey, I decided to use the less melodic I made... I mean, the vocals are exactly the same of the original version, but the music is loop/sample based and trip-hop oriented... a very modern way of electronics, in the vein of Massive Attack, or Prodigy. I just did it to be different...with so much easy melody, I wanted to be out of the crowd....what do you think?

Lorenzo...here´s your college of the tribute project. My idea why people do not mention your song so often is because it´s so totally different from alpahville. I see your point that you wanted to do something different from the others. Me myself didn´t listened to the other artists before I decided how our cover should sound...I do not mention your cover aswell on my top10 list or how many I mentioned...don´t remember. You cover is proffessionally arranged, but for me it´s in the genre I don´t listen to so much. This doesn´t mean its bad...with respect / Joachim

Lorenzo, the track is okay, just a little different! Personally I think if you had added just a bit more Pad sounds or stringers and pitched the tempo up by 5 BPM, people would had taken more noties, and would have been right up my ally! Btw. The Vocoder FX sounds great! What model do you use?
Best regards SPAWN |

Hi! I avoided every pad or similar to make the song harder... maybe I'll make available a new version someday. Anyway the vocoder i used is the Orange Vocoder from Prosoniq.

Hey Lorenzo!! Someday I would like to hear all the versions you did of FY.... the music is great - but what I love best about 7 Luna is alessandra's voice!!! I think a slow dreamy cover of FY with her singing would be VERY nice to have.

hello russ !
yes, i will upload soon the other versions we made of foreber young - there's one in particular i like a lot, but i included another one in the compilation because the work on that version was made by the band, while the other two are remixes made by me. Anyway with 7Luna we have just covered a famous italian singer for a tribute cd. I have finished the new promo Cd for SYRIAN, i think you should download www.darksyrian.com/files/vision215.mp3 www.darksyrian.com/files/noatmosphere.mp3 and visti darksyrian.com for further info! bye lorenzo |
