Thank you, Kaz!
We're always expecting a 'big one' here too, and these last three came from places it was not expected, so that one is yet to come... I wouldn't be surprised if we had it soon, after so much movement lately. ;(

I feel you. It's hard to know and actually assume that these events can happen any time. Take care and be ready. Here, we are finally understanding what civil protection agencies meant all these years asking us to stay alert, and we're learning to identify safest places, checking building structures, making drills and having a family plan for emergencies. I really hope Romania does have a good infrastructure that will resist anything that comes along. *big hug*

Infrastructure and Romania in the same sentence can only be bad news ;-)

That's scary! Here, we had a devastating earthquake in 1985 that showed the weakness of building laws and infrastructure supervision. Many of us grew up expecting that people and authorities would be more vigilant and more honest in that field, but the last one showed us it wasn't necessarily so.
The house I'm living in now was built probably by the end of the 70s, so no earthquake regulations were in place back then. I constantly fear it will fall upon me like the House of Usher. I'm trying to find a way to reinforce the walls and have it checked by a specialist.
Anyway. Let's just hope for the best.
*big hug*

Had an amazing gig yesterday at our Summer Fair. Full-sized stage and open-air too. I could get used to this ;-)

Smiley, a well-known pop star here in Romania, was special guest and did a 75 minute set. Because he had a gig later on in the day, he had to go on first and so became our opening / support act. We were better anyway...in my opinion...

Whatever you do, never explain yourself : your friends don't need it, and your enemies won't believe you.

That's really frustrating, Mumu. I have to keep a notebook.

So my house has been visited for a while by a stray cat. 3 weeks ago he learned how to operate the cat flap. That same day I was due to travel. Since then he has wandered in and out and my two cats hate him.

I've tried to find if he has a home. I've posted on 2 local facebook groups several times. I've asked neighbours, passers by and random people at bus stops. I've put up posters in my area and shops. The only thing missing was to check for a chip. He's unneutered so unlikely but a small chance. I don't drive so I have tried twice to get him to the vet. Initially I called them before my trip but then he vanished until I was about to leave. (Just in time to walk in as my cats were being carried out to the cattery).

Last week I tried but when I phoned they were busy. Had to be Thursday due to their opening hours. Got an appointment for today, lined up a taxi and got home just in time to scoop him up or so I thought. I've been spoiled by mine. They just wander in to the carriers. He spends much of the day on a cushion upstairs and is always there when I get in. He was tonight but when I produced a carrier he was having none of it. I tried for 20 minutes and in the end I had to give up. Bleeding.

A local guy has offered to take him in but I want to be sure that he doesn't have a home elsewhere. I panic that I give him away and then hear of a missing cat. Fond as I am of him ( or was until an hour ago) he can't stay here. At least he must be neutered. My cats are stressed.

I did he hear him a few minutes ago, he came in to eat so the last hour has not upset him. Didn't see him, I'm stiing here with both my cats on my knee which is nice. My hands are yellowish red with iodine and very sore.
