Bernhard,
In case you actually read the Happy Birthday topic when you already know everyone wishes you a birthday with golden dancing elephants and all that, I'd like to still send you my best regards and tell you that you're even more wonderful as a person than you are as a music- wizard (if it were possible!).
Also, I did remember your birthday on time! On Sunday I tried to make Agnes Gabor's Golden Feeling Apple Cake recipe, but I burnt it a little on top because I tried baking it in a little toaster-oven after the apple juice that spilled on the bottom of the big oven began to burn and fill the house with smoke.....

But in the end, what is a friend if not someone to help pretend?

My dear Marie,
Maybe next time you should try it with apricot jam (if you have). :)

Agnes!
The cake was beautiful and tastes good with ice cream :-) The only problem came when I decided I'd like to cook it a little longer because it wasn't quite done in the middle. Well, I make lots of bad judgements when I'm cooking, but that's how life is, so I still love to do it. Do you think I should try using apricot jam in place of the apples or in addition?
Thanks for the recipe, by the way...I posted my "Tangerine Dream" recipe a few years ago but people said it wasn't AV-related enough <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

My dear Marie,
Yes, you may try out apricot jam - or simply nothing, just the pastry itself. I`m very happy you liked my recipe, thanks a lot...:)
