Keane

Any Keane fans here? I've been following them since 2003. The musical mastermind of the band - Tim Rice-Oxley has been inspired by the likes of A-ha, Depeche Mode & Pet Shop Boys. It's interesting to hear how serious new musicians weave in inspiration from some of our best loved bands from the 80's. If you haven't heard of them, they are definitely worth taking a listen to.. I know Marian is a fan.

And listen to "The Night Sky" & their cover of Queen's "Under Pressure".

I'm a fan of Keane although I didn't enjoy their second CD so much.

I love Keane!!
"Hamburg Song" is my favourite. It´s so simple, but still it touches me everytime I listen to it.

Just a quick note to let you all know that Keane has a new single out entitled "Spiralling" - which has a very 80's "Let's Dance" meets "Fascination" sound. It's available on iTunes worldwide. An album "Perfect Symmetry" is to follow mid-October. If you are a fan and know all this already, and are anxious to hear the new tracks before anyone else, I invite you to check out Beyond The Iron Sea - a fun podcast devoted to all things Keane. Chris & Andrew ~ the two oh-so-in-the-know fans behind the podcast are putting on a listening party to debut the new Keane album "Perfect Symmetry" at a secret location in London on September 25th. Click on the event link below for details on how YOU can attend. I've also included a link to sign up for the weekly podcast.
It's pretty funny & very well put together so if you haven't already subscribed, go check it out:

Yeah I like them a lot. Rice-Oxley also did a great song for Gwen Stefani, called Early Winter.
