Can't choose a favourite song. It's David Bowie ffs. He just is.
Apparently he planned the album, the new photos, the videos to coincide with his parting. What a way to exit. |

Can't choose between the songs either. A fave is always the one I'm listening to in this very moment. |

I didn't know much about him, but it is still very sad. The night before he passed, I was reading this interview from Marian : http://www.alphaville.org/showthread...ractor&page=72
One of the questions I thought was funny was " Which David Bowie was there, in the Marian Gold has fallen in love?" And his response: " I have a crush in the early Bowie phase, because it was incredibly beautiful as easy (laughs) me. I was one of the first that came up in Bielefeld with full gear, make-up and platform boots through the streets." And then the next day, when I went in Facebook and Twitter, that's when I found out David passed. I thought it was quite weird how I read this interview the night before and then finding out he passed the same day. Anyways, he will be missed. RIP David Bowie. |

« Life On Mars » lyrics were featured on Moonbase no later than 27.12.2001 and at last 'till 15.09.2006. At some point after, the title of the song was still present in the lyrics section but without any lyrics (checked until february 2008 at webarchive.com).

Words from Marian at the malinglist
Sat Jan 16, 2016 1:52 am Hello Moonbase and Alphaville, sorry for my question but I don't understand: is "five years" a Gold or Bowie song? Who are written it? I'd like to know if it's possible... Sat Jan 16, 2016 2:32 pm Hi Christina, FIVE YEARS is a Bowie composition, the first song from the album THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST & THE SPIDERS FROM MARS. It was also the first song I ever heard from Bowie, that was in 1973. The album was my epiphany and the original reason to become a musician some FIVE YEARS later on. The track on the website is a cover version I did in 1994. From Alphaville with love Marian |
