Well, the DVD may be in PAL format, but no worries. We do have a multi-region player for just such a case.

Perhaps something in English, since my German isn't good enough for people speaking fast... that or I'm not drunk enough.... wait, let me try the latter. Where is Krapplund when I need him!

Marian speaks so fast and he has a thick accent too so it's difficult to understand him anyway. Glad I've been living in Germany for the past 7 years. Makes it a bit easier.

I just watched the DVD and I don't think Marian speaks fast at all... I actually thought I wouldn't understand much, but I could understand almost everything I guess. Maybe I underestimate my German knowledge... Anyway I had to make efforts to understand Martin and David which makes me a bit ashamed of myself.
So Marian fell asleep while watching "Alphaville" for the first time? Do I still have chances to appreciate this movie? I actually fell asleep too when watched it and never tried it since then *MADE IN USSR* |

I bought the DVD and I have a player that can read it. My only trouble is my lack of German! I understand bits but I'm not good at it yet. I'm better at reading it.
My question was whether anyone has written down the interview anywhere in German. I don't mind translating it myself. I just have trouble catching individual words, because Marian talks softly. I am very curious as to what was said. I've looked around but I couldn't find anything. |

Too much there to translate. If you look at post #23 on this thread, you will see a short summary I made.

Thanks. I did read this thread, but it just says what subjects he talks about, not what he says about them. I shall keep looking.

I can assure you, unless I do a translation of it all, you will not find one (unless Claudia or Tobi have done something but, if so, we don't know about it and if anyone knew, we would know first). Even with my dedication to AV and hours of translating and proofreading Marian's German interviews, comments and articles (official, unofficial, otherwise) behind me, I'm not prepared to sit down and translate all of that (not without a payment). I do hope you can find something somehow or that someone else here is able to help.
