There is one thing I would like to discuss. Is there anybody who can make a valid statement on the legal rights situation concerning our coverversions?
I'm not an expert, but I understood that you do not necessarily need to "ask" an artist but you normally have to register it to a collecting company (like GEMA in germany).
I wonder if we may place a Sample of our songs on our websites as an appetizer für "We heard the call II". What if all of us make some advertisement on Youtube? I do not want to complicate things. But it would be nice if many many people will be aware of your great idea.

from germany with love...

A good question. Maybe we should add the CD to GEMA (Germany) STIM (Sweden) ASCAP (U.S)....but I donīt know how this works.

And around the rights for samplers and youtube for the covers....think I have to check this...

Have to be careful Peter. How might GEMA affect the use of material for recording covers? Do we need to apply for a mechanical licence?

But if we don't contact them, I don't know what could happen. Anyone is the music biz in Germany who knows how it works? How did it work last time?

Link to GEMA:

Link to registration of a work:

Before you judge me, make sure you're perfect.

Tracklist? At least a listing of all AV-songs that will be on the album... No need to be in the same order as on the album.
