Alphaanni, thanks for the link to the new song as this was my first introduction to it.
From the video I was not able to correlate the images to the lyrics as I could not hear the lyrics through the voice distortion and as a result I did not understand the meaning of the song. This effort has left me with no reference point for association or identification to me. For me the music was unremarkable. As was previously noted Marian's voice needs no manipulation, certainly nothing to the degree as in this song. His vocal talent is well hidden in the piece and that is a shame. These distortion tricks are left to the talentless and desperate who can not sing and want to melt into the synth for protection. See: Britney Spears when she has lost her vocal range! Possibly this is a "one of" experiments and we will see a return to the fabulous voice singing beautiful melodies that we have come to know and love and expect. This departure from past performance is telling something but what exactly I do not know. All we can do is wait for Marian to tell us what his inspiration was for this project and the desired effect he intended for his fans. |

Same questions as "The Wandering Stars" : who's the poster, who's the producer, and where is is broadcasted ??
Additional question : why Moonbase did not mention that a video was associated to the song ? is this official ? [EDIT Sun. 21 / 15:20 CET : video info on Moonbase] Anyway, the production looks like "Patricia's Park" (if I still can make associations of ideas ;-) )

Tempelhof Lyrics: Gold Music: Bloss-Kappel-Gold Cold blood - not a spark of gratefulness Dumb ass - digging in our history Airlift - not a snowball's chance in hell Oh my - how can they be so daft to close it down Let's go - gonna spread some vision now Right choice - voting down their ignorance Highrise - dancing cross the rooftops of Berlin No fear - jumping on the aeroplane * Red tape - not a glimpse of fantasy Blind dopes - levelling our history Licence - ridicules the wildest dreams Oh my - how can they ever dare to shoot 'em down Let#s go - gonna spread some vision now Right choice - voting down their ignorance Air race - cruising cross the rooftops of Berlin Skyways - jumping on an aeroplane Flying over Tempelhof... Hello Claudia, Is this how the style of AV will evolve or is it a one-time experimental song? What I have it difficult with is the way they changed the voice of Marian electronic. I find that such a powerfull great don't need this kind of editing. the intention behind it is very honourable (like the whole engagement for saving this wonderfull little airport) [thumbup] but - why writing such a text when no-one is able to understand the words behind the auto-tune??? [thumbdn] In my opinion AV missed the mark with that one. [boggled] |
