Not very unusual but incredibly timely: the public transport driver had the radio on and it played BIJ right after I got on the bus. It's been very welcome after having to endure a very annoying medical test; I was still slightly dizzy and considering whether to take a seat in the middle of the bus or just find my way closer to the door to rush off if dizziness grew. I heard the song and I obviously got distracted from the feeling, so I could take a seat to get home more peacefully.
Marian and Co. will never know how much they have been important in my life, even at random events like this. Thank you once more, AV!! ^_^ |

Just so happens that I was at my girlfriend's work place when outta the blue, they played Dance With Me on their system! She was right in front of me doing something when I pointed up and said, "I don't know who picks the station, but they got good taste!"

In my office. I was setting up the stereo for ceremonies as we've just moved offices and to test the new ability to connect a phone, I used Handful of darkness. Now I just need some Alphaville fans to get married in Fort William. Volunteers?

At the supermarket. Scanning stuff at the checkout when I recognise the familiar opening bars of Big in Japan over the speakers. I did not rush stuff through.

I am in awe of your timing, ami. This past week at the local chain grocers, I heard 'Big In Japan' twice and 'Forever Young' once, the first time I've ever heard any Alphaville I recognized as such there. I admit, they've really found a winner in the sheer range and quality of the music they're putting on the P/A at my current grocery; it's certainly not the forgettable musak it was ten or fifteeen years ago. ^_^ -LBD. |

Public hospital.
I was waiting for a medical appointment and the receptionist was playing music loud (too loud for a waiting room). When I was about to ask her to turn the volume down BIJ started playing. When it finished, I was called into the doctor's office. |
