I think we all use our smartphones at about 10% capacity, LOL. I do admit it was cool Skyping my sister, who is in Berkeley, from the Grand Place in Brussels to show her the light show. Luckily, one of my much younger co-workers is pretty savvy with her Iphone, so she showed me a few things. But still...

Video chat must be great when you have your dear ones away. [love2]
I still have plenty of time to find out what my provider will offer in one year. [smile2] |

I second that using Skype on the phone is quite cool especially when you're away :)

The cool thing (except pricewise) about phones in Brussels, is that they are sold unlocked - So you are not bound by a provider and their restrictions. I have a month to month subscription, and I can change it with one phone call.

Has anyone bought a tablet (Ipad or the likes) ? I wonder what are the pros and cons , and how it compares to a smartphone and a PC.

I didn't buy any, but last weekend I was shown two very nice ones (Asus and Toshiba): none of them can match a PC when it comes to actually working with them, either for design, finance, text, presentations, etc., and both are just too big for substituting a smartphone... they're just pretty toys. ;)

Somebody said that a tablet is perfect if you want to have something with you on the road but don't want to carry computer which is too big and don't want to waste phone's battery...

I agree... they're fine for internet and games, and their batteries are supposed to last much longer than that of a phone.

My sister just bought an Ipad. She's an artist and children's book author, and she says it's the best thing - In fact, she said between her Iphone and Ipad she doesn't use her desktop anymore...I find that for photo editing, I still need a mouse - Kinda hard to use brushes with just your fingers, for example, so an Ipad would not be for me. I guess it depends on what you need. Everyone I know that has one absolutely love them though, and the Iphone screen is still a little small for movies and games...
