It´s not Alphaville related, but here´s a short intro I did long time ago in Flash for a danish mobile disco:

Actually, Art is my neighbor's mechanic - but seriously, Willy, this is part of a new generation of art, created in part by the internet - in my opinion, at its core, flash animation is not different from regular animation - its moving pictures!

Anyway, I like it... but I swear I have seen that background somewhere else? ;)

Well, the background is black, but if you mean the "stars", they are made in Photoshop - quite simple graphic. What takes time is actually animating them, frame by frame. I´m working on a cool intro (with sound) for www.alphaville.org, but it takes time.

Flash can be very artful. Duran Duran's latest music video "somebody else not me" is made as a flash film.

I agree David, but sometimes Flash is abused, and some people only use it because they can. I belive Flash has it´s use in intros, banners and presentations, but not for a complete site like this.

Trent, don´t you have the flash player installed? If you can see the AtlanticPopes website, you should be able to the intro above.

Yeah I have Flash 4 installed and can see the Atlantic Popes site...I don't know what's going on here =(
