So much whining, it's not fair for the band.
I agree! The album will come out when it comes out. Yes, I'm a little frustrated that it wont be released sooner but it is what it is. For anyone to say bad things about AV just because an album delay is just horrible.

And yet, everyone is free to express what and how they feel.

Before you judge me, make sure you're perfect.

Yeah, however there was a time to release So80s, there is a time for touring in almost every month (Marian found a time to perform outside AV) and they are even about to travel to Mexico. I thought touring is the worst for private life

I guess this comment Mumu was directed to me,so I try to answer.

Family comes first of course so is it for everyone you are right about that.
you are wrong about that its OK to delay the album again and again because of that as long as they can book new Concerts all the time.
The band also have responsibilites to released the album for the fans who arent able to go to several Concerts/year

Two gripes/complaints about your favorite band - okay.
Three gripes/complaints about your favorite band - whining.
Four+ gripes/complaints about your favorite band - not a fan.

A "Fan" embraces, not demands.
I have been a member of Dreamroom for along time and I have posted some comments over the years that all people didnt like but I never posted
a comment as NASTY as this one.
WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO QUESTON IF I AM A FAN OF ALPHAVILLE?
I have been a fan of Alphaville since 1984!!!
If I havent been a fan I wouldnt be on the forum.
All people have the right to write what they want in the forum
I Think that almost everyone on the chat yesterday thought we were gonna get news about the album since it was organized by AV and not Dreamroom(that it usually is)
and I Think most of them were disappointed that there were no news.
We have the right to be frustrated after 4 years delay of the album

If you were so smart and knew there wasnt any news WHY didnt you tell us!!!Before the chat

Official Alphaville Chat Topic

As much as I understand the frustration for delays (I share it), personally I feel that this discussion goes way too far.

Just a short side note about "no news":
- photo session scheduled
- first single selected, "heartbreak city"
- video production for single scheduled and location booked (place where BIJ was shot)

When Gold gave you dates (might not have been a clever idea IMHO) that weren't met in the past, as far as I know him, he believed they would be absolutely real. Nevertheless, he's an artist not a car mechanic. Commercial optimized decisions have never been a flag for Alphaville, as we observed.

Despite the fact that he's creating music in an exploratory way (like he always did), the past years were marked by passed away friends, family members, colleagues and idols. As he said, he's not the same person anymore.
I strongly assume that these things made him change perspectives and influenced his work and timings.

Personally I'm impressed and thankful that he still creates music - I never expected to be accompanied by Alphaville still in the year 2016 when it all started.

ps. car mechanics are great people and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them. They just serve as a placeholder here as they may in general work more timeframe and delivery oriented than (again in general) artists, who, as I believe, need way more time to discover, iterate and reflect.

Bon Voyage: I'll be back on this forum once the album is out, until then reading these comments just frustrates me more than the wait for the release.
Freedom of speech for everyone, so here's my 5 cent, now bash me. I have nothing to add.
Over and out.

I agree 100% Tobi :)

As much as I hate censorship at the Dreamroom, sometimes I wonder if we allow too much. There's no reason to be pissed after this chat, I actually think we got some good news, single, video, album and a releaseparty, all in 2016, great, what else can we ask for
