I had a great day on the 17th even though it was raining and cloudy. I played Summer in Berlin for my students - since I teach Berlin history I teach about the June 17 Revolt - so it was related to the curriculum
 . One of the sharper students, as I introduced the song, suddenly made the connection. "Oh Miss Kapitula! They're talking about the June 17 revolt!"17th of June in Berlin is always beautiful! |

Just realised today that the day before the 17th of June is Youth Day in South Africa. Also a date that had a turnaround in our history!
