I voted for "other", which would be Erasure!!! Alphaville and Erasure might be the only two bands that I have adored since the eighties, and still love. Bernhard...Vince...[love2] the synths.

You make it tough Willy, because I like them all, and have all their CD's....hard choice...put I guess it should be Pet Shop Boys....

I voted for A-ha though the last two albums of the group are rather colorless...But I love their earlier stuff...The Sun Always Shines On TV is one of the greatest songs of that period, to my mind.

Couldnt agree more, Sparks are my childhood heroes and remain my favourite to this day so they get my vote! AV fans might like their ''No. 1 In Heaven'' album which is possibly the first synth pop album ever and also the ''Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins'' and ''Balls'' albums will probably be of interest. The last album ''Lil Beethoven'' sounds like nothing else ever made as is a must hear!

Sparks are damn cool. *sighs* There´s so much to recommend... A proper conditioning drug
might be "Plagiarism" , which is some kind of tribute album to themselves.

Agreed, Plagiarism is a very good starting point, it has a bit of everything altho I dont think it represents the guitar based stuff very well, and I dont like those collaborations with Faith No More but I think people here would probably be more interested in the synth stuff tho.
