I am surprised to see myself writing this, because I usually like the darker, more complex (or positive, but more meditative) Alphaville-songs much better that the "cute" ones - but this one is a thing of beauty, very coherent and witty with a lot of positive energy. The first time I got to the spoken-words part I recoiled a bit because I deemed it too webinar-ish, then when I gave it a second listen it brought tears to my eyes. Must be the crisis

"You may ask if such a life makes sense - not much, but sense is often mere pretense" is one of the truest and sweetest lines Marian has ever written.

And the first lines are a nice nod to Albert Camus - only to take the song in a completely different and much less tormented direction than Camus did with his Plague (but still in true Camus spirit - facon la posterité du soleil or l'été).

I prefer to walk with my own feet
I prefer to dance to my own beat
I prefer to sing my own song
I prefer to live - do you wanna come along?
(Ephemere - Eternal Travelers pt. III)

A great version of Unidad indeed; and Marian has a way with words, the text is very moving. At first I wondered who was singing, because it's not the usual key :) Loved the creative video too, super job again. Thank you to the team xxxxx

This one's growing on me. I really enjoyed it this morning but just listened again. Will have another listen to make sure.

MONDAY's FOR GOOD

It happened once before a long long time
I think it maybe was in twenty one nine
Or maybe twenty twenty was the year
When the first signs of the plague did appear
Since then our ways of life have changed a lot
The lock-down was the very thing we got
The cities and the streets became quite bare
And everybody was having fun elsewhere

See the skies, see the blue blue skies
We can see, we can see for miles
People so benign, life is slowing down
Rivers oh so clean, you can see the ground
See the skies, see the blue blue skies
We can see, we can see for miles
It were days like these when the time was ripe
For another life
Fly, fly, fly, fly away...

We never have returned to former times
We're sitting pretty watching the mountain sites
Or marvel at the sunsets by the seas
While hanging upside down from apple trees
Now you may ask does such a life make sense
Not much, but sense is often mere pretence
And you may ask if such a life proves out
The answer's yes, without a single doubt

(Chorus)

Dear friends, be grateful for friendship
Find fulfillment by reaching your own goals
Follow the right path for yourself
Express yourself freely
Give a big hug
See the light at the end of the tunnel
And never give up hope
Enjoy unexpected free days,
Do jobs around the house,
Celebrate your favourite football team
Dig in cool sand with your hands
Pray for a better world, the one we hope for
Listen to the cat's purring,
Pets give us unconditional love and loyalty
And many other joyful reasons to live -and share
Rejoyce the new life,
The privilege to see your offspring grow in mommy's tummy
And then shaping them to be good and to do good one day
Feel your blood moving in your body
The warmth of the sun on your back, the rain on your face
Embrace the beauty and majesty of our planet,
Love Nature and the people of the Earth
See the world through the eyes of a child
And listen to the music you love
[And] don't be afraid of the dark and melancholy
And don't worry, better times will come for sure

I was wondering, it seems the handwriting on the Post-it notes is Marian's, doesn't it? Also, who shot the open-air sequences. In the end, a huge work as I counted more than 50 notes to prepare, sort, and put on 'stage' in a very creative fashion.
