Berlin is looking so beautiful as it gets ready for Silvester. Had a very long and special

walk down Ku´damm last night and the lights in the trees look wonderful. Gonna walk down to Brandenburger Tor later to have a look and see what´s happening. See you tomorrow Mags!

@Mags, despite all your mother says, at 27 you've moved continents to make a dream into reality. Few people achieve that. Be very proud!!! I think the words of family mean a lot because we care what they say, however hurtful it may be. Luckily you won't have to listen to it too much. Eventually she'll realise that you were right!

@Kaz, you'll find a job soon, and life will look great, I'm sure of it!!

2004 will be a fantastic year, for all of us!!

I hate it when my mom sends me emails. Even when I am living 5,000 miles away she still makes me feel so bad...[ashamed]. She says that loving a city is fine, "but that shouldn't mandate any step as separate and unconventional as a lone relocation of such magnitude. Perhaps some day you'll recognize that your own visible and extreme statement of defiance and defensiveness, esp. with me, is ample evidence of something gone amiss."

Only Americans with serious emotional problems would ever choose to relocate to Germany...it seems...
