Alphaville on MTV

I received a video with some clips of AV this weekend and among them was FOOLS from the MTV show - non stop hits.
It must have been around 1994 and i was just amazed to see AV on MTV !!!!!!!!
I used to watch MTV a lot and i still watch it sometimes and it was so cool to see that AV were there once....
does anyone remember how was it? did they play AV a lot?
I wish we could see AV on TV today also....
They really should make some video clips or perform on TV shows like they did in the 80's-90's....
It would be cool if they will even release the LIVE TRAILER !!!!
What do you say

It now seems like we are getting a Live DVD, so the next step for me would be a video compilation on DVD and VHS. That would be so cool!!!!!!

The livetrailer you mention is the one from the DS tour, right? It would be perfect to include that on the DVD. It would be very nice with some "extras" on the DVD such as interviews, information about Alphaville and a trailer for the upcoming release of Songlines + a musicvideo compilation on DVD . . He He :)

I have seen Alphaville musicvideos a couple of times on MTV back in "the old days" but they have never been played a lot on MTV.

I have got a video with many TV shows with AV, and there are also videos they made like 'Sensations' and 'Fools'. And there is a video from MTV, 'Big In Japan 1992 a.d.' Great video, I think.

Ive only seen AV on MTV 2 times. The first was Fools, just before the release of Prostitute. That was quite an experience, becose that was the first AV video I saw since Forever young in 1984. Unfortunally I never saw it again at MTV even thoug I had it on constantly, trying to catch it.

The second was Big in Japan 92 which I saw on a show called; MTV classics (or something like that). This time i was lucky enough to catch it on video.

I don´t know, if you know the VH-1- channel, it´s related to MTV, more for the older people like us (hehe), they show AV-videos often, mostly "Fools" or "Forever Young".
I also think that there is no other way to commercial success than a video! That would work for 100%. Think about Salvation with two or three videos on MTV...!!!

VH 1 is a better channel in many ways, because they don´t focus just on the popular music but also on some older (much better) music, like...hehe...Alphaville...

That's right but VH-1 won't exist any more soon because nobody watches it. I heard something like that. I had VH-1 for a few months (in the evening when Nickelodeon didn't send) but then another channel came and - no VH-1 :-(((((
