What do you think about the Crazyshow box? - Page 4 - Alphaville Forum

I was torn between two options - I finally voted for "great" because I do think CS is a great album...but I absolutely miss the Bernhard sound at the same time! It's like, the difference is between a great album, and a magical album. On the whole, CS, for me, is missing that influence that pushes it from reality into the fantasy. Bernhard is needed for that. Just the same, it is a great album. Just not what made me an Alphaville fan back in the eighties. Hopefully that makes sense???

I voted great, because even I miss the "Bernd sound", I still think it's great, and I will continue to support AV.

Like I said before, there will only be one AV !!

So far, most people miss Bernhard. Nothing to do about it!!
But, see!! 12 persons have said that they think CS is AV´s best so far, that´s quite many...and I´m one of those that thought, and still think, that CS is GREAT!

I still can't stand the bad production of some songs. AV albums are supposed to be perfect. Bernhard wouldn't have let these songs go through!

You speak out what I am feeling, Jonatan. I voted "Not good" because the production of most of the songs is just not good: Too naked the ones, too much makeup the others, just not harmonic again others...it seems like a puzzle. Far from being AV-level, though some brilliant songs on it would have deserved the best care, and though others - few, to admit - ARE really well produced (even superbly), CrazyShow as a whole is just not satisfying for me.
