ABBA
The biggest export Sweden ever had.
You don´t have to say so very much about them. Dancing queen, Mama Mia...more... To be honest...I don´t like them. I don´t like A-Teens either. -I´m your best friend-the dream- |

Oh ABBA are great!!! Truly timeless songs. Some of the best popsong ever written.
I remember listening to them for years, and many people said I had bad taste. Then Abba suddenly became modern again, and those same people began buing their albums. Funny eh? |

Abba was well produced, well crafted songs, that really didn't have a lot of political or social commentary... They were made for the pop market.
I saw them when they toured the US! Nowadays, to me, they're kinda like the peeling wallpaper in a Disco Hell. My how music tastes change. Erasure had some fun with their songs.... S.M.I2.L.E! It makes people wonder what you're up to. |

I agree with you David and Willy.
You just have to look at the amount of other bands that have covered them to learn how great they were! Favourite ABBA songs include: One of us Knowing me knowing you I have a dream but there´s so many other great ABBA-songs!! |

ABBA RULEZ look at my nick..Been this one since I first needed one on the Internet. 1997 I think it was..hmma funny thing I can say though..Benny Andersson about his music from the time before ABBA..Drag a cat in the tale, and you got the sound of the Hep Stars.
There's a lot of great groups who has cowered ABBA,,Interesting it would been to hear Alphaville do one song..hmm Not One Of Us though..hmm need to think about that one..Brithish synthgroup Blancmange did The day before you came..Turned out great that one. What made ABBA great..The sound of ABBA was unique. The females voices mached the music perfect.
Torstein
|
