Great post Roland! There are some nice picks there and I agree with most of them being fantastic remixes.
Great remixes are rare these days....fewer mixes are made and most of those that are made are overmixed and ruin the songs.

OMD is one of very few bands who still release great remixes similar to the way they were mixed in the 80s.

Thanks Poul e, I have a new 2017 cd of OMD called (THE PUNISHMENT OF LUXURY) have not listen to it yet, will report back my thoughts after a proper listen....

Your 110% correct, remixes have fallen off the map, overmixed & undermined to completely destroy a songs melody, hook & arrangement...i venture back to the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's mostly for my music & 80's for sure the most explosive & exciting period when technology mixed with seasoned musicians & trained vocalist were in stiff competition with one another trying to out do each other with not just one or two songs (LIKE these boring artist do today) but entire albums of amazing songs in there own right before a 80's well thought out remix with a life of its own made said song even better,....hell, Frankie Goes To Hollywood remixes cost Ztt Records more money than most other artist full albums,.....

Lastly, how could I forget too add to my 12inch singles list...

OMD - Forever (Live & Die) (Extended Potoker Mix)
