Now that we will have to wait another year (now 2 years since we first heard some of the songs from the new album) I just hope that Marian strikes a deal with Warner for more than just the new album. If so I think we can have serious hope that the first albums will be rereleased in digitally remastered versions (perhaps with b-sides and long versions as extras like the Pet Shop Boys rereleases) and that there will be a DVD of musicvideos. These things can be made rather quickly so a fast deal with Warner could mean a "new" release already at the end of 2006!!
Hoping for the best !!!! |

I don't have a reason to feel pessimism or something.
Warner means a big change and certainly not just one album. I repeat myself when saying: Who can wait will get it all! The next album will be a killer, the conditions seem better than during the last ten years... |

Seems like Marian changed his mind about records company...
see http://weimar.ws/wmrtx7.html Alphaville Calls Some Music Industry Bluffs "I never cared very much for what other people want me to do. I started in 1984 with the dream of being independent," Gold recalled, remembering his band's struggles with record labels and building a recording studio of his own ("It took us three years to learn how to use it"). "But now with the Internet, we are really independent." (french version on http://alphapage.free.fr/groupe/interviews/interview24.htm)

I guess Marian feels that it will be easier to release especially the old stuff with a renewed deal with Warner. I think he has struggled a lot everytime he has wanted to release some old stuff from the "Warner-period"...

I would make a bet that the old stuff will be re-released as remastered versions accompanying the new album. Every company would do that, even
also if they were not the ones who sell the new AV CD. |

Like Justus say...the old albums will be released as remastered albums if AV strike a deal with Warner....it doesn't take too long to remaster the old albums and Marian doesn't even have to be involved in it....so it won't interfer with his work on the new album.... |
