That's really frustrating, Mumu. I have to keep a notebook.

So my house has been visited for a while by a stray cat. 3 weeks ago he learned how to operate the cat flap. That same day I was due to travel. Since then he has wandered in and out and my two cats hate him.
I've tried to find if he has a home. I've posted on 2 local facebook groups several times. I've asked neighbours, passers by and random people at bus stops. I've put up posters in my area and shops. The only thing missing was to check for a chip. He's unneutered so unlikely but a small chance. I don't drive so I have tried twice to get him to the vet. Initially I called them before my trip but then he vanished until I was about to leave. (Just in time to walk in as my cats were being carried out to the cattery). Last week I tried but when I phoned they were busy. Had to be Thursday due to their opening hours. Got an appointment for today, lined up a taxi and got home just in time to scoop him up or so I thought. I've been spoiled by mine. They just wander in to the carriers. He spends much of the day on a cushion upstairs and is always there when I get in. He was tonight but when I produced a carrier he was having none of it. I tried for 20 minutes and in the end I had to give up. Bleeding. A local guy has offered to take him in but I want to be sure that he doesn't have a home elsewhere. I panic that I give him away and then hear of a missing cat. Fond as I am of him ( or was until an hour ago) he can't stay here. At least he must be neutered. My cats are stressed. I did he hear him a few minutes ago, he came in to eat so the last hour has not upset him. Didn't see him, I'm stiing here with both my cats on my knee which is nice. My hands are yellowish red with iodine and very sore. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom)

Woah! I just realised that two days ago it was my 17th anniversary as a member of the Dreamroom.
I will never say too many times how much I'm grateful with AV for the friends I've met and the experiences I've had over the years, thanks to their music. And thanks again, Willy for keeping this place still alive. |
