For the last month I've been trying desperately to deal with a stray cat. I posted on another topic about him. I'd just tried to get him to the vet to see if he was microchipped. I'm back to square one. Waif (as I've nicknamed him) decided that he didn't trust me after the cat carrier incident but clearly his empty stomach is overriding that instinct. Someone has offered to give him a home but I won't get him into a transporter now. I really want to be sure he doesn't have a home before I give him away, but so far my posters and local facebook posts have got me just one call. That was a cat that disappeared last week across town.

After 14 years, our little black pug 'Darth' passed away. He is the little guy in my avatar.

We had a little fawn pug as well named 'Luke' who died of cancer earlier this year, so we lost both of them within months of each other. Now we are 'Pugless'.

That's so sad. :(
I hope you'll find a dear companion soon, although they will always be missed. |

Nervous time with my cat Bourbon. She's been ill and was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She had a shadow on her stomach. My local vet sent results and ultrasound to a colleague who was none the wiser. So today we had to travel a 6 hour round trip to a city clinic fur further testing. She does not travel well. The fact that an oncologist was doing the testing was making me nervous.
It seems much of the worry was for nothing and the shadow was the pancreas (enlarged due to inflammation.). They were concerned about her liver and bowels but both are fine. Her vocal cords and claws are fine too judging by the fight that she put up on the 3 hours each way. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |

Despite it all apart from the bout of diarrhoea and vomiting that started it all, she has not been acting ill at all. Quite the contrary. She's the same wee minx she always was.
