Hmmm..... good timing on this topic as the weather has been on my mind. Here in Tennessee the arrival of spring also means the arrival of Tornado season - in fact, last night I spent two hours crouched with my family in a closet in my house as several Tornados made there way past. Luckily, there was only minor damage where I live, but several people were killed in neighboring towns.

There were 28 people killed earlier yesterday by a 500 yard wide tornado spawned from the same storm system in Kansas.....

And you have not experienced thunder and lightning until you have seen it when it comes with a tornado. Basically, for about an hour it was as if the sun had not gone down and the thunder never really stopped..... it was really quite eery.

For now, I am at work wishing I had gotten more sleep, but at least the family is safe.

Glad you and your family made it through safely.[thumbup][smile2]
I read about the tornado in the morning paper today.
Surreal in a way to know that you were in the middle of it.

Saw it on tv, those images your don't forget fast... We cannot complain here, besides water problems, we don't have that kind of weather.

Tornados is something I saw only on TV. And I guess I wouldn't like to see it for real!

I'm glad everything's ok with you and your family Russ!

p.s. at least it stopped raining here!
