Colin Pearson's (FY producer) book

Just got the autobiography from Alphaville's producer. Only read the childhood part so far but I glanced at the end and it's about producing Alphaville. Anyone else reading it?

I will finish reading it tomorrow. Bernhard Lloyd mentioned it on Facebook. It's about his search for a memorable song.

I have read less than half of the book and I like it already even though AV not mentioned yet! Bowie (!!!) (and Deep Purple, among others) have already made an appearance. Interesting stuff about Colin's first band Comus as well. The very first pages about his childhood aren't that music oriented, as one may guess, but quite interesting still! The Kindle version is very reasonably priced. So, a strong recommendation from here :)

I really enjoyed it. I liked the way that he kept referring to Little Colin and Young Colin for advice.

Do you think you have to be a big Pearson's fan to enjoy this book?

I didn't know too much about him before reading, just his Alphaville-related production work. That didn't matter. If you enjoy Alphaville and are interested in the music scene from 60s to 80s, you will like the book!

And now, after reading, I find myself as a fan of Colin :-D
