What's your favorite Alphaville lineup? - Page 7 - Alphaville Forum

For me the best lineup are :Marian , bernhard and ricky. The best albums are recorded in the years 86 to 97 and your music is the more interesting. Frank mertens was a apatic member and hated the TV shows and the cameras.

I know it never happened and never will, but I am thoroughly intrigued by what a Gold/Lloyd/Mertens/Echolette line-up would have produced.

Mine is Marian, Martin, Jakob, David and Maja. Thats the main lineup, but sometimes Maja Kim doesn't tag along.

I think more important is to enjoy good music and that,s it,well I like all Alphaville lineups.

I agree, I think their music is great, and always will be. I just liked the music more when the line up was with Frank. I wonder how their music would have been if Marian, Bernhard and frank were still together up to this day? That's something to wonder about.

has there been a best album poll? there must have been.

edit...i see there was. FY first, then Prostitute. i think prostitute has aged better than FY. i can still listen to it and it sounds fresh. FY is so tied to the 80s. lets see how that poll develops over time.

Same for me. (I disagree on "Parade" ;-) )
Note that Rainer Bloss is also involved a lot in this album - maybe more than Ricky??
