Italo Disco Topic
We need a topic about italo disco. I always liked it - since the early 80īs. I know that many are not to happy about it, but I think that there are some great songs out there. Here are a few artists:
Scotch Ryan Paris Ken Laszlo (tonight) Silver Pozzoli Fun Fun Koto Brian Ice (talking to the night) P. Lion and many more...

topic for my mum!
we used to listen to italian musicians much in early 80s... though I was pretty small I still remember some names - Riccardo Fogli, Toto Cutugno, Al Bano & Romina Power... but I must confess that I often smile on my mum when she listens to them now... I can see you through... |

As I spent a few of me teen years in Italy...I remember listening to Richi e Poveri, Gianna Nannini, Eros Ramazzotti, Anna Oxa, Carrara, Miguel Bose, Rettore (I still love her song "Io Ho Te") Ahh memories!! I miss Italy alot at times!

Wow! I'm an ITALO-DISCO freak (not 'Italian'...). These artists you mention are really great, but they rather don't represent that fantastic era. How about Radiorama, Mike Mareen, Koto, LaserDance? Nowadays their records are totally expensive ($50-$100 per record is not too much), but I dared to complete all the most important ones. If somebody wants to know wtaht I'm talking about, just let me know - I can send you MP3 sample.

Wrong! Fancy (Rick Tess) is German. And represents rather hi-nrg than italo. I would put him together with Bad Boys Blue and Okay.

Yes! Yes!
Miko Mission, Den Harrow, Cyber people, Eddy Huntington. and theres probably more if i starts checking out my single collection (lots of italo disco). Around -85 i bought almost every single in the recordstore if it came from the "Beat Box" recordcompany, so theres a lot of crap too. Some even embarrasing. /magnus |
