i was just in the happy situation to help out a bit, claudia has done, is doing and surely will be doing a great job with caring for the site and developing it. i have no idea how many pictures there are --- i'm sure the number of available pictures may change from time to time, so visit alphaville.de regularely, it's always woth a visit :)

no coincidence. it turned out that most users bookmarked the news page, so it made sense to drop the intro page and present the new flash intro right there.
