A tribute to Schmeichel
Today the biggest football personality ever in Danish history retired from the natinal team. Im talking about Peter Schmeichel. Honored by the title of best goalkeeper in the world in 1992 and 1993. He is an icon in football, especially to danish and british football fans.
His farewell match was played in Copenhagen today, which put an end to his partisipation on the national team since 1987. He defendet the danish goal in 129 matches! Here's to you Schmeichel! You will be missed. By the way, Denmark won the macht over Serbia 3-0 |

He was a great goalkeeper. Certainly the best Danish goalkeeper ever. But he retired at the right time. There is a better Danish goalkeeper now (Thomas Sørensen) that Schmeichel is too old.
By the way David, it was Slovenia and not Serbia that Denmark beat 3-0 yesterday. To those of you that don´t now him (you must not be very interested in soccer) Peter Schmeichel played for Manchester United until he last year switched to Sporting Lisbon in Portugal. Ey... I am a big soccer fan but where should I know all national team keepers from?
But I think I just don't have to say anything, the German national team is so BAD that even I don't watch their games anymore... Or I watch it to see how they lose :-) But we have got the world championship in 2006 *beinghappy*.... Or not....
*It doesn't matter*
|

Manchester United... They are the best English soccer team I think... I love how they have beaten Bayern München some years ago... I hate Bayern München :-)
