Hello everyone! First off, I would like to say that it is an honor to be in Alphaville's Dream Room surrounded by people with great taste in music.

I have a small Alphaville Fan page that I dedicated to Alphaville on Instagram called @Alphaville_Band_ . I've had at least 3 fans who have shown me a possible current photo of Frank Mertens and ask me if this is him. And now I ask you all, is this a current photo of Frank Mertens? To the Photo: I was reading many times, that this is NOT a picture of Frank Martens. But i'm not sure. I was comparing many pictures of Frank and this pic in your post. I can see equalities.....

Welcome to the forum! Anyways, I too was wondering about that photo. Some qualities does look like Frank and some features doesn't look like him. I personally don't think it is him. My question is then, where was the photo from? Who first posts it?

Yes! He does have darker eyes. In this picture, it looks as if he has almost brown eyes. I really don't think that's him, even though he does have some similarities. I am very curious now!

Your right, Frank's eyes look darker. Also, in the 2nd pic I sent, is this man's 1st name HeimLeiter?

That's a good question. I can't read German, unfortunately. Maybe someone in the forum can help us out and translate! But looking at both pictures, to me, I really don't see a resemblance, some same features, but I'm almost 99% sure he's not Frank. I definitely could be wrong though! It's a shame Frank never kept in contact with Marian or Bernhard..i also wonder what Ricky Echolette looks like now. We of course know what Marian and Bernhard look like. I'd like to know what Ricky or (Frank?) look like as well.

Nicole, I must have spent a combined time of around 4 hours searching the internet for Frank and Ricky's current pics/info with no luck, it's like they fell off the face of the earth lol
