Don't know if this should go here, but this is a funny story, IMO.
I was reminded of AV this past Friday while at work. Didn't someone here say he/she liked horse racing? You can bet through me, as well as for other tracks we simulcast. At one track, Lone Star (Dallas-Fort Worth, TX), there was a horse scheduled to run, but it was scratched from the card during the day, and will probably run again at another time. The name: Jet Set Society! I wonder if the owner is an AV fan???? [smile2] Hello, my friend... |

Wow, it's been a while since this thread was used. Kinda feel bad for double-posting, albeit five years apart.
I had just introduced an online friend from another website to AV's music. She heard FY for the first time, and it moved her to tears. Just the sheer beauty of it...And she soon became interested to see what else they had. You can bet she was surprised when I told her of the 30 years' worth of material they have had. She had just gone over to a site that had all sorts of their music on file. Albums, singles, even Dreamscapes (don't know if it's the original or Revisited)...and she was going to give it a try this weekend. Can't wait to see what she thinks of them. In fact, it's thanks to her that I found out a little more about the SO8OS compilation. I kinda got excited during chat, and sure enough, I found a sweet deal in Amazon's Marketplace. So that's one way to support the band, by spreading word to those who just might be interested in the "off the beaten path" music...referring to how often we hear AV in the US media, that is. Hello, my friend... |
