The electric way or the acustic way?
I´ve heard both more synthesized AV´s songs and more acustic versions to...Personally I think that AV is more better when the run their "old" way, with all their keyboards and so...Many people say that AV isn´t AV if they play live just with the song and a guitarr...But what do you think...?

personally, I love the acoustic way to perform songs. The first time I really heard Flame and Wishful thinking was with just Marian and Martin on the piano - I tell you, that was amazing ! also Dance with me piano version is fantastic !<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

AV is much more than just music so it doesnt really matters...
i fell in love with them because of their 80's style but i also love every song or version that they make - electric or acustic. you're right Willy, Dance With Me Unplugged is amaizing !!! so quiet and yet so powerful ! @ville - forever and ever. |

Yes,you´re both probably right...
Alphaville is great in every way. It´s not all about the music,actually...There is some important things about feelings and so to....Hope you understand what I´m trying to say. |

I can´t choose because either way AV plays their music it´s great. Unplugged versions of "Dance with me" and "Forever young" are really good, but I can´t say that they are better than fx the long versions of both songs. Neither can I say the opposite.

it just shows how versatile and talented they are, that their music can be expressed so beautifully in two very different ways.
The future exists, first in Imagination, then in Will, then in Reality. |

For me Alphaville has always been the supreme synth band. The album Forever Young is a true classic and Sounds Like A Melody is still my favorite song of all.
I was very pleased when Salvation was released, because of the reintroduction of the "machinery" used and the 80´s sound. I look forward to the studio album! |

You can´t look at a band in that way...To say that AV is a strictly synthband, that isn´t right at all, because all band, even AV, have many faces. Not just the face they´ve shown us...AV is not just synth, they are music over all!

well, alphaville is more than anything a synth band. That they have touched other areas is great, but synths is still the main thing, and that´s what we like, right ?

I think AV is more than just plain music.it`s about dreams and visions-like reading a book with sound or watching a movie controled by your mind. And maybe in some ways comparable to the bible-you get alot of input, wich seems sensible from your own point of view. Dreamscapes are easily made with electronic instruments, but the important thing is to get the right sound in the rihgt place, not how you do it.
