well, to be honest, this day has been really crappy for me...but ok, it's the 17th of June, the date in my fave song =) so I'll try to cheer up =), I cheer up when I think about Wednesday...=)

On the 17th of June 1981 Pink Floyd step out on the stage at Earls Court, London for the last time with Roger Waters, he will never perform live with the band again!! The show is a complete performance of ''The Wall''.

''This day's an invitation, and its just for you,

It should also be noted that the final lyric of ''Summer In Berlin'' is..
''Its a summer by the Wall''

Anyone knows when the lyrics of SIB were written ?
If it was before 1981 than its not logical but if not....
Anyway, i think that SIB is more a political song.
Probably just a coincidence but who knows....

Well, did you know that there used to be a street in former West-Berlin called the 17th of June (Straße des 17. Juni) which passed the Ernst-Reuter-Platz...
