Oh yes, I can't talk about this on Facebook. The person I suspect is a "friend" on there.

Working while visiting my family, at least it keeps me out of mischief. And just got a good book to read, but that will have to wait. I know I get discussed too at work, and it disturbs me even though I could basically just ignore it, because I work from home and only speak to them via email or Skype.

I used to work for a bank, but now I work from home. In some ways it is quite solitary and in other ways very nice, because you don't have to fake a smile when you know people who stab you in the back.

In the middle of all the stuff I mentioned before. My job is going, they just have to give me notice. I applied for the job at my current pay grade (2 jobs for 5 people) and didn't get it. I knew that I wouldn't and didn't know which would be worse, getting it or not getting it. It would involve managing another department as well as my current job and my current job is too much for one person. The above unnamed back-stabber got it and to be honest she's very welcome to it.
Another colleague a pay grade below me wants to retire but taking her job would mean the back-stabber being my manager and she will try to tell me how to do registration in which I'm qualified and she isn't. She isn't even interested in it. I don't think I can do this. There is a secondment as a kind of auditor with our governing body. Again two posts. A year to start with and it involves reporting on the whole situation in the country. I have an interview tomorrow and I am desperate for this chance. Timing is perfect and it's something that I've always wanted to do. Wish me luck. ....it was them what drove me to drink!" [drunk] Grandad, Only Fools and Horses (UK sitcom) |

Thanks, the interview went okay. Felt more like a laugh with friends. But they told me that they are interviewing 10 candidates for the two jobs so I feel very nervous. They have more interviews next week so I have to wait to find out.
