ive made this own mix of forever young on my synth...and i feel that it could be somekind of artwork because i made the song with so many feelings..ive never been able to make a melody instead of writing lyrics,probably case i cant write music..i love to play it,and many of my friends wonder who ive learnt it from.the melody is my won,even if some of the tones are fy inspired.the cords are though forever young in major,but a pair of are ownfound..not that i know which ones they are..
a great dream of mine has been to play piano very good..but i dont have any teacher,theres no musical school for gymnasium students here where i live.
so..is music similar artwork like lyrics and pictures??

Defender! I would love to hear your version of FY!

As for music being artwork? Of course, its just one of the many mediums in which we are able to share images/beliefs/emotions/feelings/ideas..... music paints emotional pictures that we build in our own mind as opposed to a painting, which evokes an emotional response - but we have a response to both, because both are forms of art!

Or so I believe!

Something my friends often ask me to play on the piano is FY...but it ain't no version but the original <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
...I used to take pianolessons...I took 'em for two years, but then it became so expensive for my dad that I had to quit, but I think I would've quit anyways, I never learned anything there, everything (or most things, the pracitcal stuff) I've "learnt" completely by myself, it's more "my thing".
I'm completely rubbish at playing from notes, I can, but I'm bad, everything I play, are some own stuff up in my head, or a song that I've heard, and I play it according to my hearing (or whatever kind of phraze you use to describe that)...that's how I've learned everything I can play, I can't remember the songs I used to play from notes back then...
