@Kaz: You weren't the only one... I was also wondering when I saw the tracklist on Amazon. [smile2]

Btw. the t-bone RM 700 is a really fine ribbon microphone and it's extremely cheap.
But I hardly believe MG would use it for singing, much less in the studio...[smile2]

Stylish enough for posing though, I think Marilyn Manson and others did that too...

Probably it's from the set of David P. Goodes, noisy as he used to play...

From what I can read, french people are also puzzled by the absence of english subtitles. To know that even the Report from Mexico (fan tape) is subtitled...
By the way, any hidden bonus such as a full concert :) ?

Nope, no concert.

I think the DVD was made with only German-speaking lands in mind, since these are the focus of the record company at first, and that, to me, is a bit of a lack of forethought. I'm assuming it was on the part of the record company. Even if Alphaville didn't have a worldwide fan base, in these days of the internet, where attention can be grabbed quickly and with hardly any effort, I think it's very important to use a Lingua Franca. Sadly German is not one.

On the DVD, Marian says the idea for the title Catching Rays On Giant was not his. He was inspired by something to do with a Hollywood actor. And that's all he's telling. He wants us to work out the engima for ourselves.

One should add it was a Hollywood actor from the 50s I think. James Dean perhaps?

Yes, it was an actor from the 50s. Forgot to say that.

That's who I was thinking J-Man...but isn't that a bit too obvious?

It probably wouldn't fit a subtle album like CROG...

Maybe it was someone who had something to do with Dean. I've been looking for the interesting sentence that Marian mentions...

At least I cot my physical copy of the album! Just watched the DVD, and it was definitely worth buying, even though MG speaks so quickly and unclear that I can't understand a slightest bit of what he's saying. But it was so good to see those playing clips and David and Martin talking what they think.

Only thing is that those 3D glasses are pathetic! [smile2]
