Bad Alphaville Reviews
Have you ever read a really bad review of Alphaville? Here´s one:
It says something for the education system in the UK around 1984 when arguably the year's most lyrically-dexterous hit came from a bunch of tarty Germans. A marvellous 'plink-plink-plinkety-plink' Roland intro led us into a world of idealistic outdoor scenarios within the well-chosen words on “Big In Japan” ("neon on my naked skin, passing silhouettes of strange illuminated mannequins") which proved more than strong enough to batter its way to No.8 in the charts, though they were helped by a chivalrous TOTP booker, who invited them on when they were still below the Top 40 threshold due to a lack of available acts on higher ground. It matters not. The only stereotypical piece of Oriental instrumentation to befit the song’s title was a bashed (and evidently not real) gong to wrap things up both for the song and the chart career. The band's image is sketchy, though we vaguely recall black lipstick and stripey T-shirts, yet despite never gracing our eardrums again, they can be proud of holding on to the title of best one-hit wonders of the decade by a country mile. http://www.essential-eighties.net |

Don't put too much stock in critics...They are mostly full of hot air and hate everything anyway...They are sad little people that can't enjoy anything so they have to use their time making others miserable...The more you let it bother you and the more you listen to them, the longer they remain...I don't ever listen to critics...be it for movies, music or what have you...I listen to me heart and if me heart likes it...Then it's fucking good shite! That's all there is to that and the critics can bite me! Why should I care what them pathetic losers think?

yes, Trent is right - remember, everyone has an opinion - some good, some bad. Some of the movies that made the most money the critics didn't even like?
Its not worth your time to give them the satisfaction of a response! ***This life is expensive, but at least it comes with a free trip around the sun!*** |

Yes yes I know but the thing is that there are people who read this and believes it.
And there are acctually "facts" in the review that´s wrong, gotta correct those things. Then if he´s such a fool that thinks like that...poor guy.
~/~/~Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, live today~/~/~ a l p h a v i l l e
|
