The most personal for me is when I got the chance to meet Marian and get a picture and autograph on my fourth copy of FY. I told him it was the fouth copy of the album I had purchased, and he looked kind of surprised, and asked me why. I told him I either wear them out, or carry them everywhere and lose them.
Personally, I think I played my copy of forever young the first year I had it about 4-5 times a week, and that was my album dubbed to cassette (about 3 tapes worth). Then Afternoons in utopia came out and I had a whole new album to obsess over.

S.M.I2.L.E! It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Saw this topic and had to reply, cos Alphaville means so much to me and has changed my life.

I don't really own anything that is my most personal AV thing but, like Willy, I treasure the moments I've spent with Marian and the guys at and after concerts, the fact that Marian knows me by name and the things he's said and done towards me, and also that he is such a cool guy he found the time to do a special favour for me for a friend on the forum and also wrote me some very personal stuff by email, which was lovely. I also treasure how my life has been changed, through meeting Marian and others from Moonbase and also through the wonderful community of Utopians whom I now call friends. Without Alphaville, my life would be so dull compared to how it is now.

It's things like this that are treasures to me - people and memories, not items.

Before you judge me, make sure you're perfect.

I'm thankful for the chance me and my husband had last May in Berlin to be able to meet Bernhard.

Since he means a lot to me - and he meant a lot to Gabor as well - so for us it was really a dream come true. We could talk to him, and maybe those of you who met Bernhard much more often, it might not be so interesting, but this chance was really a wonderful event for two poor Eastern Europeans...

oh. I didn't post here before...

Most personal AV thing = memories [smile2] For example, Marian trying to pronounce my name in Zwickau... and many more.

Like Kaz it's the events and the people I've met that are most personal to me. I don't treasure the autographs as much, because I prefer the times I've talked to Marian. I never get to talk for long enough but then everyone wants to talk to him. I think the car event in Saalfeld is probably the strangest and therefore the most personal to me. Marian could have kept on driving, (I really thought he would,) but he stopped to say hello.
