Dunnes Stores are also selling Vinyl albums. A wide variety selling at 18 euros. I picked up a double album of Rory Gallagher that comes with a full colour booklet. Heres a site to look out for vinyls, emo... https://therecordhub.com/?gclid=EAIa...SAAEgKIzvD_BwE I'm gliding in the distance and watch the world go by An orbit full of questions, a perforated sky |

From what I saw it is unclear whether you can order/preorder online (whatever the website). My guess is that if there are copies left after the D-day, they will be eligible for shipment. One thing for sure, as often with limited editions speculation is likely, someone reselling the item in some months at a, well, speculated price (is that english?). Nothing new, back in 1989 I was unable to order The Mysteries of Love vynil, and Salvation arrived 9 months its release here. But I’m confident that all the rare versions will be on the second Dreamscapes box-again, shut up and just take my money ;) along with Summer Wind for example. I understand fans who want the vynil object, as I don’t have a turntable anymore the CD versions will do.

A little clarification about my disapointed post (in the wrong thread btw). When I said already too late to order I was speakin on behalf the record store, as emo72 pointed out the goal of this operation is people visiting physical stores.
@jetsetfriend, you're right, nothing new, except the exception is now the norm. I'm not disapointed with AV in this 'cos not specific to them, just the times they are changing not in a good way imo. ps: I don’t have a turntable anymore too, I still want the object! |

I see now, 'Record Store Day 2020 release. No pre-orders. Available at our shops, selection may vary, on RSD (Sat 18th April) and online after our shops have closed that day (if any left)[...] All stores may not order all releases'.
To give you a general idea, the quantity planned for the UK is 300 copies (source: https://musiczone.ie) So there is a chance to get a copy anyway :) |
