I bet I wasn't even a phantasy in my parents heads when they made me ...of course I don't know the real truth, but I've kinda suspected it since my dad refused to tell me by briefly saying; "none of your god damn business!!"...

I remember one day, a few years ago, i was walking in the street and i just couldn stop singing SLAM..... I had no idea where i knew the song from but i couldnt stop singing it...
So actually i knew AV for years but i didnt know that it was THEM - my sweet Marian and Bernie.....

I first heard Alphaville when I got a single in a bunch of other singles (can't name one of any of the others) around mid december of 1984. I was in the habit of buying a couple of new release singles of people I never heard (I was doing DJ work while I was in the Navy) and I picked up Big in Japan....( i had spent 6 months previously in Japan, and having been born there (My parents were from Kentucky and Illinois) I thought I'd waste a buck and a half. It wasn't a waste.
I'd say I've spent most of my music purchasing life listening to AV. and i have worn out several copies of several albums. Not to mention going to CD's etc.
I've bought
Forever Young at least 4 times
Afternoons in Utopia 3 times
The breathtaking Blue twice
Prostitute twice
United once
Dreamscapes once
Salvation once
Stark Naked and absolutely (GODDAMN!) Live once
several singles once
and 2 shows worth of tickets
and the DVD.

I don't have a couple of the cd's, but I would love to find so long celeste available conveniently.

I heard Alphaville about 3 months after I heard another favorite, Stevie Ray Vaughan. I got to see him perform a month after first hearing him. Alphaville... well that took 15 Years!!!!!!!

S.M.I2.L.E! It makes people wonder what you're up to.

Iīve been a fan since 94-95 I think... when I heard Forever Young for the first time. I guess I had heard it many times before, but without thinking about what I heard.
