"Alphaville without Bernhard is like an apple pie without apple".

Sorry, that's the English teacher in me [smile2]

Hey that sounds like a good offer. I will have to take you up on that sometime Kaz. I am bilingual drunk myself. My French is passable when sober but I have better word recall and no hesitation in speech when I am under the influence. Go figure. LOL

A few years ago I bought the "German for Dummies" book and I am very slowly picking my way through Chapter 1. I need to get a study plan and work it. I want to learn German so I can research the lives of my ancestors from Hesse. Hopefully the records are still extant. My French ancestors records were lost during the revolution in Paris but I know their name and I can only do a general paternal search. [magnify]

I know of someone who returned to University to specifically study Middle German for the same reason and maybe that is an option for me. I am not sure about the Middle part but Modern German will do. Excuse me for rambling off topic. [smile2] [smile2]

I am easily satisfied with the very best.
