Actually it's not that surprising but still a little that Vince Clarke prefers to focus on the song itself when composing and exclusively does it via guitar or piano sometimes.

Hey, I listened to it many times now and I think it is quite nice - especially the songs "A whole lotta love run riot" and "Be with you".

This review I did the day I'd got the
promo album 'Tomorrow's World' from the record label ------------------------------------------------------ Today was the day where I got the change to listen to the new album. Before this review I've heard the whole album from start to end without any break, after that sporadic, and then the tracks on random. Tomorrow's World is an very modern and up-to-date album, but if you ask me I would like more Vince Clarkes wellknown 'blip-blop' sounds on there . It's one of the latest Younger producertalents Frankmusic who has Produced the album together with Vince and Andy. Frankmusic has added much of his own style on this 14th Erasure album. Frankmusic is out with his own debut album also and a bit different from the E-album. It looks like and sounds like Erasure & Frankmusic has tried to do this album so it's not only for fans but also for the younger genrerations. It's a difficult mission, but I think they've done a pretty good job there. It's for sure an album I'll play many times on my stereo and since I'm a DJ I'm looking forward to check out all the forthcomming remixes as well .....i love remixes ;o) I've said it before....I don't know any bad Erasure songs and it's hard to be pessimistic also when it comes to the music on this new album too .....there are a good flow between the tracks there is a good mood on there as well. I tell myself several times while listening, that Andy really enjoys this. There has been used lots of autotune and to me I would rather be without because Andys voice is so beautifull standing alone. This album will grow on me without any doubt .... a posetiv thing if you ask me. I can easily recommend this album, not only to the fans but also to all who like well sounding and produced popmusic. I don't give out stars by princip, so check the album out yourself when time comes. If this release should take the right direction I would say that the next single should be track 05 'A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot'. It's about 128 bpm and has a very catchy chorus indeed, and as the DJ I'm there could be made some cool remixes out of it too. Though it's very 'Frankmusic' sounding filled with autotune and less Erasure, if you know what I mean , but!....to me it's the best song on this album.......at this moment Here under, my top 9 list...for sure it will change now and then 05 A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot (128 bpm) A very nice and danceable track...it really sounds like Andy is feeling great on there....actually you don't want this catchy chorus to stop ever....brilliant! 01 Be With You (132 bpm) Many Erasure songs does sound like it's one big chorus and so does this track, nice and fresh. 06 When I Start To (Break It All Down) (82 bpm) The first single from the album.....a nice pop track with all the high tones that proves that Andy still 'got it'. 07 I Lose Myself (128 bpm) Probably the track that contains most the of the wellknow 'Vince Clarke' sound 02 Fill Us With Fire (128 bpm) A bit special vocal performance and didn't I knew this were Andy singing, I could be in a little doubt several places in the song....not a bad thing here. It's an very fresh and uplifting track. The track do grow through several listening times 09 Just When I Thought It Was Ending (116 bpm) Nice flow in this track and some cool crispy breaks 08 Then I Go Twisting (132 bpm) To me when it comes to an Erasure song I think it's rare that the verse is more catchy that the chorus, but on this track I think it is like that, great beat also! 04 You've Got To Save Me Right Now (80 bpm) This track is a bit different than the others....it's less dance styled and more raw and rebel mooded, even if the tempo is slow 03 What Will I Say When You're Gone (80 bpm) A quiet track, but still full of 'action' ....remember, this is heard with my ears....go for it yourself and do feel free to let me know if your review is totally different, enjoy!! Anyway, if I should name this album with only one word it would be, FRESH |

Gave a listen to a couple of the new ones at yt.
Well, strange, it is so uninspired to me. You know, I've never been a fan, but Erasure did outstanding songs, not to mention Vince's awesome capabilities in sound and timing. What's left of this potential I'm asking. Where are the unique melodies and song structures they used to have in the late 80s, early 90s? Раз, два, три - Это верно ты! |
