Like Thunder - Alphaville Forum

So I was listening to my So80s cd today on headphones and noticed something odd with "Like Thunder". There are faint noises audible in the start... much like vinyl pops and crackles. Does anyone know if it was mastered from VINYL?

And if there are any lucky folks out there who own that super-rare 1989 "Mysteries of Love" cd single, can you give a listen and tell me if the "Like Thunder" version there has those same crackly sounds?

P.S. The Dreamscapes version sounds cleaner, but of course that one's a totally different mix.

I would say "yes"...but it sounds that it more crackles on the "Mysteries Of Love" CD-singel

Really! So the "Like Thunder" on the original cd single sounds worse??

Do you have a physical CD as I know some of the digital versions of so80s were defective.

Yes, physical cd. If you have one, does it sound the same on yours? Faintly crackly, especially at start?

Ok, so I wanted to try to help solving this mystery. Here is what I believe Marian is singing. In this particular song, it is quite hard to understand some of the lyrics because of his accent. After listening to this song over and over, this is the best of it I could do.
