Lyrics to Song For No One

Whilst surfing the interweb, I stumbled upon 2 different lyrics for Song For No One. . The first was this one...

"Song For No One (But Myself)"

Your will against my vision
Your world against my worlds
Your war ain't my decision
Your port against my pearls

Your sense against my madness
Your void against my screams
Your bitch against my gladness
Your fakes against my dreams

This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself

Your lies are your perceptions
Your reins against my rights
Your fear is your religion
Your race against my pride

Your end is my beginning
Your dance has all gone wrong
Your blaze against my music
Your blare against this song

This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself

Your wish against my vision
Your world against my worlds
Your war ain't my decision
Your port against my pearls

This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself

The second one was this one....

"Song For No One (But Myself)"

I look into myself, there’s nothing deep inside
There’s an emptiness that I can’t seem to hide
Well, you and I can’t see the wood from the trees
So call me stupid if you please

This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself

Drifting slowly to the point of no return
Self control and grace is something I should learn
I lift my eyes up to that big wide sky
Leave behind what’s on my mind

This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself
This is a song for no one but myself

Blazé queens, their voches so mauve
Joanie kings, all numbers ben fierce
Blazé queens, their voches so mauve
Rouge for days, fantabulosza-zsa!
Joanie kings, all numbers ben fierce
Dilly Boys, so ferricadooza!

The second set of lyrics can be heard on the animated video to the track
Am I missing something, or has this being brought up before?

I'm gliding in the distance and watch the world go by
An orbit full of questions, a perforated sky

Here is the live version of the lyrics. Did anyone notice the difference? And which lyrics are now being played on the tour?

First one is from Moonbase (2004), second one is from CROG booklett (2010).

Why did he change it?

"too stupid" the man said when asked why this song didn't make it on a previous release. ... It is not known though if this comment was for the lyrics or the music or both.

Strange. 2 lyrics that have nothing to do with one another. It was probably Marian's mood at the time. He is going from a radical view in the first set of lyrics, to a very deep and meaningful self journey in the second set

When he said it was "too stupid" he was referring to the "Untitled" edition, AKA the version from the 90's and not the one we heard in 2008 (with the lyrics on the first post). I personally think the final version of S4N1 is my least favorite song... I hate it! Had CROG kept the "rock" feel which Criminal Girl and the Call Me demos had, I think it would've been better, at least to me since of all the albums made, I think CROG is the worst in my eyes... Overly loud too. That doesn't help any!

that version was played live a few times. The "whistle" melody and chorus are the only recognizable elements from the final (that and the guitar riff - it was repurposed into the bassline)
