Review by Danish magazine Gaffa:
Alphaville (****) Full and happy it was now time for German band Alphaville. In the 80s they had two big hits with "Big in Japan" and "Forever young" but they never got the big breakthrough in Denmark. The band are still releasing new material and are at the moment working on a new album. This year was the second time they visited the festival and like last time they delievered a fantastic concert with (no surprise) climax in the two hits mentioned. While synth dominated the soundpicture in the 80s the band have moved to a more heavy and rocking sound which suit them and has more appeal for todays listeners. The fact that the lead singer has a charisma, smile and not least a voice which easily reach the back row only makes the experience better. There is no doubt that this wasn't just a group of has-beens who had digged out the old gold from the case of vinylrecords but a hugely professional band in constant development! Fantastic review I think!!!! |

The one from the magazine looks much nicer than the ones I saw from the Festival in Sweden.
