Big In Japan - cover

Hi all,

We're new to the forum. A friend (a massive Alphaville fan) recommended this place to us. We're just a duo who mess around writing our own stuff, but we recently did a cover of Big In Japan. We couldn't think of a better place to share it. Hope you like it.

Kind regards,

Not bad at all, a little to slow for me.
But we can see that covered this song isn't easy.
All the BIJ covers I heard disappoint me.
Maybe can we ask Seb Komor to make a Remix for the 30 years?
What do you think?

Welcome!

I like the version...it sounds a bit like the cover that Ane Brun have made

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to have a listen. Katja loves the Ane Brun version, so based this on that cover. I grew up hearing the original version so it was interesting to take it in a different direction. As for covers, i think they are always hard - people grow up with and grow attached to the original version. I'm a big Depeche Mode fan and they've always attracted covers and remixes most of which just don't sit well with me.

Thanks again,

Digger

Great cover! It's very beautiful. I really like the vocal performance and the overall arrangement.

Hi. This cover of BIJ is fab! I totally love it! It's very different to the original but in its own unique way it's beautiful! Thank you for sharing it with us.
